What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied behavior analysis, or ABA, is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for an improvement in behavior. Through decades of research, the field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviors and reducing those that interfere with learning. At BASS, we use positive reinforcement to reward a child for good behavior.  Our team monitors your child to understand his or her behavior to assess what is an improvement for that child.

The strategies that we use in our comprehensive ABA therapy sessions come directly from the science of Behavior Analysis, which is backed by years of research that demonstrates utility and effectiveness. Our certified Behavior Analysts focus on observing behavior and build methods that are most effective for each individual. Every learner is different in the way they process information. Our goal at BASS is to provide step-by-step growth that is ideal for the individual child while incorporating a variety of factors like age, level of functioning, and caregiver involvement.
